A True Bay Love Story
Katie Brown and Jordan Menderlein, soon to be Mr. & Mrs. Menderlein.
This truly Canadian couple registered with the Hudson’s Bay Company Gift Registry, this past weekend, and we were charmed by their HBC adventure…
They are so Canadian, the maple leaf is now a permanent part of their being – tattooed!
They know the history of the Bay, better than most Bay Associates!
They believe that the Hudson’s Bay Company will play a strong part of Canada’s future and international image.
The stripes, they wear them proud. Katie has a knit-woolen coat; baby wears his toque with pride and was purchasing his matching sweater.
Their wedding pictures will feature the HBC multi-stripe blanket.
Their official wedding is- Canada Day, July 1st, 2012.
Featured in their Gift Registry, of course, more HBC Blankets and towels.
The Baby is named “Hudson”, in honor of the Hudson’s Bay Company.

I am a businessman and philanthropist who two days ago wore my 15 year old Hudson Bay Blanket coat to Calgary where the temperature was -40. I just wanted you to know that I have never received more complements on anything I have worn in my life! And to think my wife wanted me to give it away! From the staff at the Palliser Hotel to people on the street and clients everyone loved the coat! As CEO of the bay I thought you should know this.I know you don’t make the coat anymore but maybe you should reconsider. By the way my wife and I love what you have done to the Vancouver store.
